- The Pirie Water Scheme - construction of the Maden Dam, 1908-1910. Summoned at a public meeting on 28 March 1906, and by Parliament in June 1906. Mr James Maden, M.I.C.M.E. etc. Borough & Hydraulic Engineer, appointed in 1903.
